Flap Valve Diaphragm Pumps
Skylink SA series flap valve diaphragm pumps are air-operated double diaphragm (AODD) pumps designed to transfer fluids containing large solids, fibers, sludge and thick slurries. Unlike ball valve pumps, they use flap-type check valves, which leave the full fluid passage open and prevent the pump from jamming or clogging.
The SA series is available in 3 connection sizes, from 1″ to 3″:
* SA25 — 1″ (25 mm)
* SA50 — 2″ (51 mm) — flow up to 511 lpm, solids up to 45 mm
* SA80 — 3″ (76 mm) — flow up to 988 lpm, solids up to 50 mm
Why choose a flap valve pump?
Conventional ball valves can jam when the fluid contains large solids, rags or fibrous materials. The flap valve fully opens the passage on every stroke, allowing solids up to 50 mm to pass through without being damaged and without clogging the pump. This makes it the ideal choice for pumping sludge and difficult fluids.
